The Government of Malawi has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Southern Africa Trade and Connectivity project (SATCP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for New installation and rehabilitation of electrical and air conditioning systems for UPS power back for the MRA border crossing points, Bidders may Bid for one or several contracts, as further defined in the bidding document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid. Procurement process will be governed by the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing” Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” dated November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”),

The bidding document in English language may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Malawi Kwacha Twenty thousand (MWK20,000) The method of payment will be direct deposit payment to Southern Africa Trade and Connectivity Project Reserve Bank of Malawi Account Number 0013000870038 Please take the Reserve Bank deposit to Southern Africa Trade and connectivity office for registration The document will be sent by electronic mail
  1. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 22nd September, 2024 10:00am. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 22nd September, 2024 at 10:00am.
